Who We Are
We are a 501(c)(3) committed to providing active recreation opportunities for anyone in and around Amador County. We strive to provide access to and maintain multi-use trail systems that enhance our local community. ATS wants to see residents of Amador living healthy lifestyles, and to invite surrounding communities to enjoy our natural beauty while increasing commerce to the county.

Ways We Help
Amador Trail Stewardship is building more than trails—we’re building a stronger outdoor community.
From designing and maintaining multi-use trails to expanding safe, accessible recreation across Amador County, we work to create places where people can ride, walk, explore, and connect. We partner with public agencies and local land trusts to support recreation planning, land stewardship, and long-term trail sustainability—ensuring outdoor spaces are thoughtfully developed and responsibly cared for.
Through the Amador Mountain Biking Club, we provide youth and adult cycling programs that promote fitness, skill development, leadership, and a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors. Our programs create opportunities for riders of all levels to grow, compete, and build community.
We also host accessible recreational opportunities like indoor pickleball and other community-centered activities, creating year-round ways for residents to stay active and engaged.
Whether we’re maintaining singletrack, supporting land conservation partners, mentoring young riders, or activating local facilities, our mission is simple: enhance recreation, steward the land, and invest in a vibrant future for Amador County.
Bringing New Access
We collaborate to provide trail systems for hiking, biking, and equestrian use, as well as parks or recreational amenities. Features are considered from all aspects, from specific function to conservation, in efforts to make sustainable recreation amenities that are enjoyable and accessible.
Trail Maintenance
Our team helps bring sustainable trails that can be built and maintained with minimal disruption to the natural environment. Our goal is to invite you to be a part of nature but not fighting through it. We also provide trail maintenance throughout the County.
Tourism
By providing quality recreation access, we invite the surrounding communities to visit Amador. This gives local business new opportunities for commerce and builds a larger community.
